It doesn't take a whole lot of words to say a whole lot of things, but it does take lots of practice. The best and quickest way to learn a language is to plunge into the place where it is commonly spoken, or get into an intensive language program. Otherwise, you need to focus on mastering one manageable amount of language at a time.
